Pay With Google

As part of the launch for Google’s new payment solution, the Google Payment API, where merchants can enable effortless checkouts for their customers in their app and on their website, we were asked to design and develop them a B2B marketing website. This site is used to showcase and advise on how business’s can implement this API into their sites.

The Build

Following various technical discussions with Google’s ATL’s and because this site would be part of Google’s primary .com, we agreed to develop this using G6. G6 is a Git-based toolchain for fast static website production and deployment. It supports local development, continuous preview builds, localisation, and provides one-liner reproducible launches. Because G6 embraces static website deployment, it compiles down to and launches only static HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, which ensures the fastest page render speeds and avoids any security concerns.

My Role

• Technical Lead and Full Stack Developer.
• Provided estimates, scoping and technical oversight to the UX/UI Design process.
• Liaised with Google’s technical teams and key stakeholders.
• Developed the site, ensuring all code perfectly matched the UX/UI requirements and adhered to Google’s strict guidelines and coding standards.
