Grow With Google

In parallel with the work we were doing on the Google Learn Digital Website and Mobile App, we were also asked to develop Grow with Google, a multilingual site that provides products, trainings and tools to help people find a job, grow in their career or to grow their business. As with all Google products, we were required to develop this following their strict coding guidelines/standards.

My Role

• Liaise with Google’s stakeholders, technical leads and ATL’s to help flesh out the requirements
• Manage the Technical team
• Provided scoping/estimations
• Wrote the relevant technical documentation (including the TDD)
• Hired/allocated the necessary resource to ensure this project was developed on time and to the highest standards
• Investigated various technical options for the site, ultimately deciding upon using Kintaro for its datastore. I then worked closely with Google’s technical teams to ensure various updates were made so Kintaro could meet Grow With Google’s more complex Multilingual publishing requirements.
• Develop various POC prototypes/components to validate designs.
